The Vingtor VSP-122 is a new bulkhead-mounted station from the VSP 12-way batteryless telephone system, IP66 rated.

Overview

A batteryless telephone system works without the ship's power supply: the speech energy comes from the handsets themselves, which is precisely why this type of installation is fitted between vital positions on board. If the vessel loses power, the wheelhouse can still talk to the engine room and the steering gear compartment. The VSP 12-way range connects up to twelve stations, each with a selector switch for calling any other station directly, and the microphones are noise compensated so speech stays intelligible in an engine room. A built-in or separate relay drives signal units such as horns or flashlights, and an output is provided for 24 VDC external equipment. The station measures roughly 220 x 220 x 185 mm including the handset, weighs about 2 kg and is rated IP66.
