The MarineTec 6217 is the inland radar Sperry supplied to the river fleet, and it is still in service in a fair number of wheelhouses. That is exactly what makes this set useful: as a replacement for an existing 6217 the installation, the cabling and the mounting all stay as they are, and as a source of parts it keeps a working installation going without a conversion to another make.
