Overview

The RT2048 is a solid-state, microprocessor-controlled VHF radiotelephone for ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore communication, working in simplex and semi-duplex mode with 25 W output on all channels. It covers the international and US marine channels and can be programmed with private channels in the 154.4-163.75 MHz band, and it supports ATIS, which is what makes it usable on European inland waterways. An audio amplifier delivers an additional 6 W to an external loudspeaker, so the set can be heard over engine noise. Every set we supply is completely gone through: new handset cord, new keypad foil, new loudspeaker, new transmit relay and whatever else the unit needs. We also programme your ATIS code and the current channel allocation, including VDES, before the radio leaves.
