Overview
Iridium Pilot gives a vessel a connection anywhere on the globe, the poles included, because the Iridium constellation covers the whole earth instead of a footprint. The system comes in two parts: the antenna above deck and this unit below it. The below decks unit is where the ship’s network and the telephones come in — three independent voice lines beside the data connection, each on its own socket, with the main switch on the same side.
