A Furuno RSB-0073 radar antenna unit, an open array scanner, tested.
Overview
This is the part that turns on the mast: the motor housing with the open array bar on top. The type plate reads RSB-0073, built in 2013. An open array gives a narrower beam than a radome of the same power, which is what you want on a busy waterway where two targets close together should stay two targets.
Key features
- Open array antenna unit, type RSB-0073
- Year of manufacture 2013 according to the type plate
- Compass safe distance 1.10 m standard, 0.70 m steering
