JRC AIS Set with Connecting Box and NCM-779 Controller (JHS-182) — Tested

A JRC AIS set consisting of the connecting box and the NCM-779 AIS controller from the JHS-182 Class A installation, updated and tested by JRC.

Overview

The NCM-779 is the operator station of the JHS-182 Class A AIS: it shows own ship and target data, handles safety-related messaging and gives access to the voyage data that a Class A installation transmits. It carries a 5.7″ FSTN LCD with a four-step backlight dimmer, an IEC 61162-2 interface to the connecting box, a pilot plug connection and an RS-232C port for maintenance, and runs on 24 VDC. The connecting box supplied with it distributes power and carries the interfaces towards the transponder and the rest of the bridge equipment. This set suits an existing JHS-182 installation where the controller or connecting box needs replacing, or where a rollover made a software update necessary.
