About Swiss Radar
Where a sea radar is built to look far, a river radar is built to be sharp close by. It is at short range that you have to tell the groynes, the bank and the oncoming vessel apart. The Swiss Radar picture is tuned for exactly that: high resolution right around you and a calm, stable display.
The flat screens and the control panels are laid out so that a skipper can work them blind — large buttons, few menus, everything in a fixed place. At night and in fog you do not want to go looking.
