About Intellian
The principle behind every Intellian dome is the same: inside sits a dish on a stabilised mount that keeps following the satellite while the vessel sails, rolls or turns around in a lock. From outside you only see a smooth dome, which protects the installation from weather, salt and water coming over.
The i-series is the television side of the range and is common on yachts, inland vessels and workboats. Alongside that, Intellian supplies the v-series and NX-series for VSAT internet and the terminals with which vessels sit on the new satellite networks.
A dome lasts a long time, but the technology inside ages faster than the construction. That is why lightly used units regularly come free that are technically still excellent — an attractive way to get television or internet on board without paying the new price.
